Description

Attention here is the new bombshell of the Rossignol Racing service! The new generation of Premium skis is now available in three different cambers, which will allow skiers a more precise and selective choice of skis! This Medium version is without a doubt the most successful because it is the most universal of the Premium S2 model. 

What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-IUM Skating Premium S2 Medium IFP cross-country ski?  

Since the very first model released in 2016, the Premium has not stopped evolving. Here it is in a new formula, hitherto unknown, with three different types of cambers. On this version in particular, the Medium camber, Rossignol has developed the most universal high-performance skating ski available, and this is true for the weight ranges you will find at the bottom of this product sheet. Comfortable on most types of snow, it still benefits from the internal structure with an ultra-light Nomex shell wrapped between two carbon plates. This construction offers good lateral rigidity and minimizes the effect of torsional twisting during thrust. Moreover, with the addition of the HM carbon, the dynamism at the end of the thrust ensures great acceleration. The external structure of the ski has also been revised, and now the Supra Edge is replaced by a lighter reinforcement that is just as effective in terms of aggressiveness in skating. The tip has been lightened and reinforced, which limits the pendulum effect at the end of the push and during the return of the ski under the centre of gravity. The heel has also been reinforced in order to offer more aggressiveness at the end of the thrust, especially on hard snow. As far as the sole is concerned, Rossignol has opted for its new K 7000 2.0 sole, the most elaborate in the entire range. In terms of structure, the S2 version is equipped with a cold multi-purpose structure that is suitable for the most common snow temperatures, i.e. between 0 and -6°C. The IFP mounting plate is always there, this mounting plate is exclusively dedicated to Turnamic bindings, compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boot standards. In terms of sensations, the ski appears to be well balanced, particularly at the spatula level, and this makes the transition phases of support more fluid. Very effective on compact snow, this Medium version is also satisfactory on softer snow.   

Who is the Rossignol X-IUM Skating Premium S2 Medium IFP cross-country ski intended for?  

Developed for racing with the collaboration of numerous world and Olympic medallists, this ski is above all dedicated to athletic and experienced skiers. This does not make it a difficult ski to manoeuvre, but in order to get the most out of it, a correct technical background is nevertheless recommended. At the feet, it is a pleasure because it perfectly combines dynamism, aggressiveness and softness during the sliding phases. A new technical feat from Rossignol which has, in recent years, proved that the brand is at the forefront of innovation in Nordic skiing.
