Ladies, here is the Baltoro Women 2.0, a fantastic women-specific touring ski designed to meet the highest of your needs. The men’s version comes in a bright yellow for 2017 while women have a gorgeous turquoise ski. Construction-wise, both skis are similar (men and women) except the core (ash/poplar) which is a touch lighter for women.

What can the Dynafit Baltoro Women 2.0 touring ski do?

Going out for a tour with friends is fun, but reaching the peak with legs on fire is far less entertaining. With the Baltoro Women 2.0, Dynafit is significantly helping you by reducing the weight of the ski the the max. You should be leading the group with ease, kick-turning effortlessly and reach the summit with your legs still feeling fresh. The Baltoro can face any mountain without being scared. It can be long and steep, the ski always feels light and easy. On the downhill, the ski remains very effective and deals with narrow couloirs or wide powdery fields with style and ease. Its tip and tail rockers coupled with an 84mm waist ensure optimal floatation and support on the deep while the Dual Radius technology enables short and nimble turns. However, you’ll find the ski’s weakness on hard snow. Its light carbon construction makes it chatter and the ski doesn’t feel super precise. But it’s so good for climbing that you easily forgive it.

How to choose the length of your skis?

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?
On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options: 

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show. 

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products. 

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
