Description

Nobody thinks of Burton without thinking of the Blunt. The board has become a standard in the freestyle industry within the past few years and it's surely a rider's favorite. Burton hasn't stopped upgrading it to adapt the board to rider's needs and it seems like the 2014 version was pretty close to perfection as the 2015 version is the same. The flat profile of the board enhances its forgiveness and its stability while the biax fiberglass reinforced Super Fly core makes it easy to play with. The soft flex allows unexperienced riders to learn the basics effortlessly.

What our testers say : This is the partner of choice for all beginning freestylers looking for an easy and forgiving board to progress with. The board manoeuvers with ease and delivers a smooth and mellow feel throughout the turns. It's perfect for improving your piste technique while having your first go in the park. We recommended it to fun seekers.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
