Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

More directional than the Flight Attendant, the Burton FT Hometown Hero is a snowboard that stands out for its smooth handling on various terrains.

What is the Burton Ft Hometown Hero snowboard made for?

The inserts set back by 4 cm enhance control on the rear foot, making it easier to lift the nose in powder and initiate turns. The board features directional flex, profile, and shape, optimising manoeuvrability and float. The front rocker clears obstacles, while the traditional camber ensures solid edge hold when carving and stability in tight turns. The flex, neither too soft nor too stiff, offers response and stability without tiring your legs after a few turns.

Who is the Burton Ft Hometown Hero snowboard aimed at?

Versatile and balanced between performance and forgiveness, this board is perfect for advanced to expert snowboarders looking to adapt to all conditions, explore the backcountry, discover numerous spots in the resort, all while maintaining optimal comfort for a full day of riding.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
