Description

The goal of the Capita Mercury snowboard is to maximise versatility and adaptability. With its Camrock profile, directional twin shape, and well-balanced flex, it is designed to perform on all terrains, offering an excellent balance between performance and fun.

What is the Capita Mercury snowboard made for?

The Capita Mercury turns the entire resort into your playground, regardless of conditions. It ensures a smooth ride on all types of snow. The traditional camber provides excellent edge hold on hard snow, while the front and rear rockers facilitate edge-to-edge transitions, absorb terrain irregularities, and improve float on soft snow. The slightly setback inserts make turn initiation easier and offer natural float in powder. The symmetrical shape allows for effortless switch riding, adding possibilities for freestyle. The friendly flex guarantees a good balance between comfort on rails and boxes in the terrain park, while offering response and stability when picking up speed. This board is not specialised in one area but excels everywhere.

Who is the Capita Mercury snowboard aimed at?

The Capita Mercury is ideal for intermediate to advanced snowboarders who are looking for a versatile board capable of adapting to various riding styles without being limited to a single type of terrain.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
