Description

Times when snowboards were just a piece of wood seems pretty far away. The Darker Series includes so many technologies that it feels like you're riding a fighter jet. Without listing them all, we can tell it incorporates bamboo under the binding inserts, that enhances energy transfers and gives more control to the riders. There's also a mix of fiberglass and basalt offering more stability on critical terrains and a Columbian Gold/Power A core ensuring optimal pop and responsiveness. Profile-wise, the board comes with Lib Tech's C3 which is basically a traditional camber with a mild rockered midsection enhancing manoeuverability on powder.

What our testers say : This is a powerful gun for advanced or expert sporty all-mountain riders looking for a hot responsive ride. From powder to snowpark, the board charges and lands with a great dampening through the crud. It's a good pick for athetic techies with legs. The board's stiff and if the profile makes it super responsive it's also a bit catchy. Beginners will kill their knees with a weapon like that on their feet. It's a go-big-or-go-home board for performance-driven riders.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
