Description

Look at that baby! It's not a zebra or anything weird, it's the Control, a freeride oriented snowboard designed by Ride for the young crowds of riders. It's a valuable board offering to learners the basic performance for quick progress. The directional shape enhances manoeuverability and turn initiations while the rockered tips help carrying you above powder and offer smoother transitions. The flat profile offers tons of stability and makes the board more forgiving than a traditional cambered board. You won't catch as many edges, you won't hurt your knees as much and you're gonna love snowboarding quickly!

What our testers say : The is Ride entry level board. Low price, superior construction, perfectly adapted to beginners and intermediate riders willing to ride through the whole mountain with their parents. The board is stable and playful when it needs to be but allows for a more aggressive riding style if you feel like it. From linking your first turns on groomers to slashing your first turns powder, the Control has you covered!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
