Description

The go-anywhere board. That's how Ride could introduce its new Control for 2013. The board has only one mission, offering you control and confidence for riding any kinds of terrains in any snow conditions. The directional shape of the board offers intuitive steering and floatatbility on powder for a more natural ride. The flat camber provides just enough grip and liveliness to the board to make it fun to ride, and just enough forgiveness to avoid edge-catches. On top of that, the board's light and the edges are reinforced for more durability. A great partner for riding the whole mountain from dawn to dusk, and from peak to park!

What our testers say : A soft and playful board that offers to ride through the whole mountain. The rocker gives to the board an enjoyable nimble feel and provides it with floatation on powder. The directional shape allows for intuitive turn initiation, and the whole steering feels natural. The board does what you ask with no surprises. An excellent board that makes progression easy as pie, perfect for spicing up your practice.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
