Description

The Wall Hand from Santa Cruz is a freestyle-oriented snowboard with a twin-tip shape, symmetrical from nose to tail and a centred foot stance, allowing to feel comfortable switch and have lots of trick options. The Snap! Rocker profile offers a medium traditional camber in the middle and rocker at the tips. The camber provides grip on hard snow and rebound in the turns as well as pop for ollies. The rocker sections provide smoothness in edge transfers while offering better glide off-piste. Finally, the flex is firm without being too stiff. It offers intensity in the descents and allows to get more height out of ollies, yet it remains accessible to a wide range of snowboarders. The board as a whole is progressive and versatile for freestyle riding in the entire resort, which will satisfy riders from the intermediate/advanced level.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
