Description

One for the boys, one for the girls, Burton are doing things well with their junior series and release two versions of their freestyle-all-mountain boards. The Chopper, here, comes with a more boy-ish look but is identical to the Chicklet. Both boards are flat cambered which helps kids to manoeuver their boards with more agility and more balance. The biax fiberglass reinforced Fly core provides tons of mellowness and will forgive the most common mistakes due to learning. Basically, with the Chopper, Burton are making snowboarding easier than walking!

What our testers say : This board is a real teacher for kids. Easy, forgiving and manoeuverable, there's no better board to learn with. It feels intuitive and natural, the smooth flex makes the board versatile and allows the gnarliest kids to lay their first lines in the snowparks or by the side of the pistes if they want to. But remember, parents, if you buy the Chopper, you're never gonna get a rest, ever again!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
