Description

The Nitro Doppelgänger differs from other Nitro splitboards by its truly lightweight construction, with a Power Core in which areas of Koroyd, a honeycomb structure, save precious grams. This reduced weight doesn't reduce its performance, with carbon fiber braiding for stability and a top-of-the-range sole for gliding quality during descents.

What is the program of the Nitro Doppelgänger splitboard?

The Doppelgänger benefits from a highly directional shape that provides maximum manoeuvrability and efficiency on all terrains. The very set back position of the feet makes it very easy to place in curves, while providing a natural lift in powder snow, which is also ensured by the volume and generous rocker of the front spatula. On hard snow, you'll enjoy good grip and stability thanks to the carbon fibres and the classic camber section in the centre of the board. There are also Hike-E Pods, small protrusions at the edge, which provide a secure foothold when converting to hard snow. Thus, you have a light and safe splitboard during the touring phases with which you can also fully enjoy the descents.

Who is the Nitro Doppelgänger splitboard for?

This model is designed for experienced or expert snowboarders who are familiar with the mountains and are looking for a splitboard that offers them all the lightness and performance they need for long outings in search of new freeride spots.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
